He stared blankly into her eyes for a few moments, his crystal blue eyes subconsiously looking for something. A smile crept across his face. "Thank you for the offer, Miss Lily, however, I'm not allowed to give information as to how to contact her. We like to live in seclusion, you see..."
So many urges, so many feelings, so many thoughts...
He seemed to be having a hard time thinking. One thing he knew for sure, something was telling him to stay here. All these urges and feelings, were they trying to tell him something? He wanted to know, yet, his mother would be worried sick if he wasn't home soon. He was already late to begin with. He's never actually betrayed her wishes before, so would it be okay this once? After a moment of mental debate, he nodded at her. "Okay, I'll stay." All the butterflies in his stomach and thoughts went away at that moment. They obviously got what they wanted, now, would he?

"Great!" Lily couldn't help but nearly jump a little bit at his positive response. A small giggle escaped her lips as she noticed how stupid her reaction must have looked to him. As colour came flooding to her cheeks, she quickly took his arm in hers and took a small step forward to lead him out of the room. "I mean, well, I'm just glad that I won't have to be worrying about you all night, you know?"
She led him down the hallway, and then back down the stairs to the living room, not really saying much, but instead allowing herself to stray into thought. It took nearly walking into the couch for her to realize that they had reached their destination. Feeling again like a complete idiot, she let go of her guest's arm and scratched the back of her neck a bit nervously.
"Hey, look who's alive!" she called into the kitchen, her voice cracking a little in mid-sentence. She wasn't sure why, but for some reason, those words evoked some kind of emotion deep inside of her that she didn't fully understand. She felt as though tears could begin welling up in her eyes at any given second. Just as quickly as those feelings had sparked, she pulled herself together and allowed a big grin to spread across her face in time for Aeron to appear at the entrance way of the kitchen.

Aeron turned to the side and allowed himself to lean back heavily against the entrance way, his hands nonchalantly placed into the pockets of his jeans. As he looked over to the two, a small smile came to his face, and he pushed himself up from the wall again to walk over to them.
"Well, would you look at that?" he commented as his arms found themselves crossed over his chest. "You look much better now than when you were sleeping. It's good to see that you're finally up."
Suddenly, a high-piched shriek sounded in the kitchen. Aeron quickly looked over his shoulder, almost having forgotten that he was making tea. When that realization settled back in, he turned back to their guest with another welcoming smile.
"That's right, I was making tea." He chuckled a little bit at his own alertness before continuing. "We have quite a variety to choose from if you'd like any. Lily always makes sure that the cabinet is well-stocked," he teased.
"Wait a minute, I haven't even introduced myself yet, have I?" He shook his head a little bit and extended his hand to Jack in offer of a handshake. "I'm Aeron."

A sudden nervousness arose in him. He knew why, too. This time, he decided to defy the feelings, and took Aeron's hand into his own. "My name is Jack." He peered slightly into the kitchen. "I... Don't really drink tea..." The nervousness wouldn't let up.

"We have some other stuff too!" Lily broke in, almost a little too eagerly. As soon as the words left her mouth, she could feel the blood rushing to her cheeks. She leaned back from the two a bit and chuckled nervously.
"Come on," she began politely, taking hold of Jack's arm. "Let's see if we can find you something."
Without his consent, she pulled him gently after her, leading him away from the living room and from Aeron. Upon entering the kitchen, she dropped his arm and walked over to the refrigerator, beginning to rummage through it almost immediately.
"We've got orange juice, fruit punch, Pepsi..." she trailed off as her eyes took in the contents of the fridge. "Oh!"
She pulled back and quickly shut the door to the fridge and began rummaging through the cupboard above the sink. Spotting a box of hot cocoa mix, she reached up on tip-toes to retrieve it, almost knocking several other boxes over in the process. With a small outburst of success, she turned back to Jack, displaying the box victoriously.
"We have cocoa too. Or I could make you something to eat or..." It was in this moment that Lily realized how strange and neurotic she must look to Jack. Or anyone for that matter. She let out a sigh followed by a small, apologetic smile. "Sorry. It was just kind of tense back there and... yeah..."

Jack allowed himself to be lead away, partially to be over the nervousness, and partially because he was transfixed by this woman. He felt bubbly when she grabbed him and brought him to the kitchen. He hadn't heard a word she'd spoken. He was so focused on just the sound of her voice. He merely stared at her with his hauntingly ageless crystal blue eyes.

Lily glanced around a bit nervously as she shifted her weight slightly, making sure not to make direct eye contact. She was fairly certain that she must be coming off as a bit psychotic to this poor guy. Feeling extremely uncomfortable with the extended silence, she turned back around to reorganize the cupboard she had torn apart, making sure to take her time with it.
"So, was there anything I mentioned that you'd like?" she asked as she closed the cupboard door and turned back to him. When her eyes finally met his again, she realized he must have been staring at her the entire time. Great, as if she didn't feel embarrassed enough. She could feel her cheeks burning again as her eyes shifted nervously to the floor and then back up to him. "What?"

He snapped out of it, shaking his head, and looked away. "N-nothing, really... You just seem very... Familiar to me." That voice whispered in his mind. Calling out to this woman. It sounded so painfully sad. He shifted nervously to the side, clenching a fist, painfully digging his nails into his palm, out oh her view in attempts to distract him from the whispers.
"Just... Anything will do I guess."
Jack stared down at her floor. Maybe it's just my imagination... It was just a dream. I've never seen this woman in my life. This isn't anything...

"Alright then. Cocoa it is!" she exclaimed, picking the box back up off the counter. As she emptied a packet of cocoa powder into a glass, her mind went over and over the words he'd just said, trying to make sense of them.
'How do I seem familiar to him? Wait... Duh, I probably just remind him of someone else. I'm sure that's what he meant. But he'd said the same thing outside... And I still just get this weird feeling about him... I feel like... Somehow he ties into everything... Those things I can't remember, the dreams I don't understand... And...'
There was no denying it. Lily felt utterly drawn to this boy. Not in the passionate way that she was drawn to Aeron, but in a deeper way that she couldn't explain or even begin to understand. She hadn't even noticed how zoned out she was until she realized that the milk was overflowing from the glass and onto the counter.
"Damn it!" she quickly jerked her hand back to stop herself from making even more of a mess and set the milk down on the counter. Grabbing a rag from near the sink, she quickly cleaned up the milk, feeling more than a little embarrassed. She attempted to cover it with a small laugh, which only made her sound more nervous. "Guess I must have been daydreaming again."
After another more successful attempt at pouring milk, mixing in powder, and nuking the stuff in the microwave for a minute or two, Lily walked back over to Jack holding two glasses of hot chocolate.
"Come on, have a seat," she said, leading him over to the small table that sat on the other side of the kitchen. She set the two glasses down and sat down, hoping that he would join her.

Jack hadn't noticed the milk being spilled, but took her up on her offer with a seat. However, he didn't say anything, just stared at his cup. His eyes were boundless, ageless, as though they had seen much more than a young person should have. This woman bothered him greatly. He felt as though he should know her. When he looks at her, he felt strange. It bothered him more than he cared to admit.
He looked up at her and opened his mouth. However, when nothing came out, he just closed it again, and looked down at his cup again.

Lily took a tiny sip of her cocoa, trying to be careful since she knew that she burnt her tongue every time she drank it. As the silence between them dragged on, she strayed into thought again. One thought in particular seemed to jump out at her and she wondered how she had failed to mention it until now. No, it wasn't that she had forgotten it. She had purely been waiting for the right moment to bring it up.
She looked up at him as he stared down at the cup, wondering to herself if the boy even liked cocoa or not. When he looked up to her, she caught his eyes briefly and swore that he was going to say something, but no words escaped him. She wished desperately that he would say something, anything. His silence was just so unsettling, and she had to wonder if he was really okay. It looked like now was as good a time as any to bring it up...
"Hey, can I ask you something?" Lily lowered her eyes again, not wanting direct contact with those haunting blue eyes that seemed all too familiar to her. "Before... when we were outside... just before you blacked out... You said something to me... Something kind of strange..."
Now she, too, found herself staring at her cup. She didn't know how to bring it up without sounding super crazy. She had to wonder if she had imagined the entire thing. If he might have said something completely different and her brain somehow just altered it into something strange. Taking a deep breath, she continued.
"You said that you told me we'd meet again..." She laughed at how ridiculous it sounded out loud. "But we've never met before, so I know you couldn't have ever told me that... So what did you mean?"
She stared at him and waited for his answer, holding her breath and counting the long seconds that passed after her question had been asked. Since she'd met this boy, she'd clung to every word he'd said, and now she needed to find out why...
