Opened originally in 1942 as the Greenleaf Tavern, Nite Club 42 has seen many changes over the years. Located in the heart of the city, it's a very well known venue and a popular hangout of choice, especially for the late night crowd. With a well-stocked bar, huge dance floor, and comfortable lounge, it always keeps its patrons coming back for more, both mortal and monster alike.

Just down the street from the local community college is The Black Cat Café - a cozy little coffee shop and bakery. Both college and high school students frequent the café after classes to read, write papers, or just socialize with friends. The café is cutely decked out in fall and Halloween decor year-round, and some baristas even choose to dress up to fit the Black Cat theme. :3

Located about 10 minutes outside of Ashbrook, Xtreme Arcadia offers just about anything you can think of. Some of its attractions include arcade-style games, laser tag, mini-golf, go-karts, batting cages, bumper boats, roller skating, and bowling. It's definitely a popular place for kids during the day, but once midnight strikes, drinks are served and only adults are admitted.

Ashbrook High is your typical high school, complete with stereotypical cliques, graffiti-covered desks and bathroom stalls, sub-par lunches, and cheesy school events. Some of the classes and teachers are great, others are unbearable. Winchester University is the step-up that every teenager waits for after graduating high school: a flexible schedule, taking classes that actually interest you, better quality food, and a sense of independence that means you can do whatever you want. The university also offers night classes for those with more nocturnal schedules.

Jonathan Hale Park is located just off of a small parkway that runs through the local woods. The park itself is primarily a huge field scattered with some picnic tables, a swing set, and a decent size playground for kids. If you follow a pathway that leads a bit deeper into the woods, a delicate gazebo sits beside the creek that runs through the woods.

A small, glistening lake sits near the outskirts of the city. For most people it's a bit of an out of the way drive, but the regular visitors think it's totally worth it. During the day you can find people relaxing at the beach and playing in the water. At night, the beach is peaceful and quiet - perfect for a calming late night walk.

Its long-forgotten purpose was to house and treat the mentally addled, which it did successfully, and without describing its methods. After its condemnation, the asylum turned into a place for brave teens to spend the night - until its basement torture chamber was discovered one murderous night by the authorities. Since then, it has been locked tight, impregnable to all but the most determined of demented souls.

A series of stone and dirt roads surrounding the suburbs, the backroads are the paths less traveled for a reason. Sparse street lights serve as markers along these winding paths, which lead every which way except where you want to go.

Devoid of any solace, nightmares are the workings of one's own tortured mind, though occasionally others have weaved their influence into these dreamscapes. The possibilities are endless, though the results are not always under the dreamer's will. And sometimes, waking up only prolongs the disturbing sensations.

The lair resides beneath the largest mansion in the well-to-do residential sector of town. Winding stone steps lead to the wine cellar, where some of the casks contain nourishment for the vampires, which can be reached through a trap door. The lair itself is exquisite and extensive, decked out with comfortable lounge seats, lush beds, a small bar, and hidden in the back behind a curtained doorway, what appears to be a small bloody pool.
